How to choose a swimsuit according to your body type

Thin or curvy, full or discreet chest, the most important thing to know when choosing a swimsuit is your body type. A, V, inverted V, H, O, X ? which letter of the alphabet does your body type match?

Which swimsuit for the A, triangle or pyramid shape?

This figure is characterized by hips that are a little wider than the shoulders. Your priority is to attract attention to your upper body. For this, choose a two-piece swimsuit. If your breasts are small, choose a padded or push-up bra, or one with ruffles or frills. If your chest is rather generous, a bandeau shape will enhance it better. In any case, to enhance your beautiful shoulders, always choose thin straps. For the bottom of your swimsuit, avoid low waistlines, panties that cover too much and shortys. Choose low-cut shapes that will give you long legs!

For this body shape, we love the Gigi or the Leia bikini tops with the Leandra bikini bottoms

V-shape, inverted triangle or inverted pyramid

The opposite of the A shape, the V shape is characterized by wide shoulders and a narrow pelvis. For these figures, generally with a sporty look, the objective is to bring glamour. To achieve this, choose a two-piece swimsuit with a push-up bra if you have a small bust. If you have a large chest, choose a balconnet bra or a triangle shape. For the bottom of your swimsuit, choose patterns and stripes to bring out your hips, and avoid low-rise suits that tend to pack the figure. One-piece swimsuits are possible, but avoid sporty models. Instead, opt for large necklines to enhance your bust!

For exemple, the Nora or Bronte one piece swimsuits or the Leandra high raise bikini bottoms. with the Deluca push up bikini top

H-shaped or rectangular morphology

If your silhouette is characterized by shoulders and hips of equal width, and a waist not very marked, you have an H-shaped morphology. Your goal will be to choose a more feminine swimsuit. If you like two-pieces, opt for styles with a push-up bra and avoid square necklines, which accentuate the shoulders. For the bottom of the swimsuit, avoid low-rise styles. Instead, opt for high-waisted panties. If you like the retro style, opt for a ruffled bottom, perfect to accentuate the hips and bring a touch of glamour very flattering. As for the one-piece swimsuits, look for trikinis, very low cut models on the sides, halfway between the one-piece and the two-piece. This very original swimsuit is often embellished with daring cut-outs, which will suit you perfectly!

For an H-shaped body, why not go for the Deluca bikini tops with the Leandra bottoms or the Alice one piece swimsuit

O-shaped or round morphology

This type of morphology is characterized by a full figure, with curves distributed across the body, and a small waist. To highlight your shape, choose a one-piece swimsuit. You have a nice neckline, take advantage of it! For a good support, choose a model with an underwired bra or with a band under the chest. The plunging neckline swimsuits are made for you, because they bring a great sensuality to the silhouette. The bottom of your swimsuit should not be too low, to avoid marking the body without refining the waist. If you want to hide a belly that is a little too round and have a more pronounced waist, the right option is a sheathing swimsuit. If you like two-pieces, you can go for the pin-up spirit by adopting a high-waisted swimsuit for a charming retro look!

We love the Lucy, Allegra or Nora one piece swimsuits for this body shape

X, 8 or hourglass shape

The X-shaped figure has a very pronounced waist, as well as a balanced chest and hips. If you're lucky enough to have this type of figure, anything goes. You can take advantage of this to alternate styles according to your taste and your mood, and follow the trend!

A swimsuit to enhance all bodies

Every woman has her little complexes, sometimes invisible to those around her, but which are important to her. If you consider that your figure has "defects", instead of trying to hide them, embrace them and don't forget to highlight your assets! A swimsuit is not only for swimming. It's also a garment that can be worn and accessorized endlessly as soon as the thermometer starts to rise. You can wear pareos, jewelry, hats, star glasses and pretty sandals to shine all summer long!
