For this new collection, we take you behind the scenes of our new photoshoot in Puglia, beyond the wild lands, where olive groves and masserias overlap, or sometimes reality takes over and everything doesn't go quite as planned!

The end of the school year is approaching and for a few months I have been working on the photoshoot of our next collection. For several years I have wanted to discover Puglia, its arid lands and olive trees as far as the eye can see, its natural colors: a Grenada red of the red ochre lands, a deep and intense Bari green of the southern Adriatic coasts, the Fushia pink of the bougainvillea, the Blueberry blue of the wild fruits that dot the paths and the light ash blue of the whitewashed walls of Ostuni. Everything is full of inspiration in this sublime hinterland off the beaten track, located between the Itria Valley and the Adriatic.

It was decided, my faithful photographer Emma and I were going to go on an adventure for 2 days starting in Ostuni – the white city, then the next day in Alberobello to avoid the crowds, and finally in a cool Masseria for a more relaxing moment by the pool. After having meticulously prepared the outfits for our models on site, taken care to note the shoe size of each child, marked all the outfits, without forgetting the accessories that make all the difference, I packed my bags for a departure at the end of the day the next day.

Now left to my own devices, I took my pen and the back of a piece of paper to meticulously copy the directions to our Airbnb 30km away, up to the description of the key-locked hideaway before being completely cut off from the virtual world. I jump on a shuttle to the train station, hoping that there are still connections from Brindisi to Ostuni after 8pm. The wait… then finally a train stops, I get on it with my suitcases full of swimsuits, my straw hats and fabric flowers, watching for each stop until we reach our destination. Big relief when 25 minutes later, we stop at Ostuni station. When I get out, not a soul in sight. I meet a couple who got off the same train as me and ask them for directions to Ostuni. They look at me with big, astonished eyes and make me understand that it is very dangerous to walk along the road that leads to Ostuni at night and kindly offer to take me to the gate of the fortress.
So I found myself in the back of their car wrapped up in my things, blessing their good soul for having saved my shooting...
