Baby UV Swimwear:
Protection and Style in One
Because babies' delicate skin deserves the best care, Canopea offers a collection of swimsuits, T-shirts, and UV bodysuits for baby girls and boys that are as protective as they are elegant. Practical, eco-friendly, and ultra-stylish, our designs are created to protect your child's delicate skin while making your daily life easier, whether at the beach or the pool.
Why choose UV protective swimwear for babies?
Babies' skin is particularly sensitive to the sun. A UV swimsuit or UV bodysuit covers part of the body while allowing baby to freely enjoy activities in the water and outdoors. At Canopea, our designs combine protection, comfort, and style to accompany days at the beach, pool, or on vacation.
UPF 50+ certified, our UV clothing offers high UV protection on the areas covered by the fabric. Canopea also uses ECONYL® fiber, a regenerated fiber made from used fishing nets and other plastic waste. This durable and stretchable material is suitable for swimming in the sea as well as in the pool.
Designed for toddlers, our models combine soft materials, freedom of movement, and practical details. Depending on the model, some make dressing and diaper changes easier.
What does UPF 50+ protection mean?
The UPF index measures a textile's ability to filter ultraviolet (UV) rays. A UPF 50+ certified garment blocks at least 98% of UV rays on covered areas.
Unlike a classic swimsuit, which does not necessarily offer a measured level of UV protection, a UPF 50+ textile is specifically tested to provide high UV protection. Canopea baby UV swimsuits and bodysuits integrate protection directly into the fabric structure: the density and weave of its fibers help filter UV rays.
Areas not covered by the garment must, of course, remain protected with appropriate sunscreen.
The advantages of UV protective swimwear for babies
Beyond sun protection, Canopea baby UV swimsuits and bodysuits are designed to make parents' daily lives easier and offer comfort to toddlers.
- Easy to put on: some models have small snaps at the crotch to facilitate diaper changes for baby, both at the beach and by the pool. Baby UV T-shirts also offer practical details to simplify dressing.
- Quick-drying: made from an innovative and breathable material, our swimsuits and baby UV bodysuits dry in record time, preventing your child from staying wet for too long.
- Great elasticity: our stretchy fabrics adapt to baby's movements and allow them to play and explore freely.
Bodysuit, top, or swimsuit:
which UV outfit to choose for baby?
The choice mainly depends on the planned activity, the desired level of coverage, and the time spent outdoors.
- The baby UV bodysuit is ideal for parents looking for more coverage. Depending on the model, it comes with long or short sleeves, with a Peter Pan collar, Claudine collar, or no collar. Some models also have practical details making dressing or diaper changes easier.
- The baby UV T-shirt allows for creating a modular outfit with a swimsuit bottom. It comes with long sleeves or short sleeves, with different collar styles: Tunisian collar, turtleneck, Peter Pan collar, or no collar.
- The baby UV swimsuit is perfect for swimming and outdoor days. For boys, Canopea offers swim shorts and boxer briefs. For girls, the collection includes graphic, retro, ruffled, or long-sleeved one-piece swimsuits, as well as bikinis.
How to choose the right size for a baby UV swimsuit?
A baby swimsuit should first and foremost be comfortable. A model that is too tight can restrict movement, while a size that is too large may be less pleasant during swimming.
To choose the right size, consult the size guide and consider your child's body shape. If in doubt, choose a size that allows baby to move freely and comfortably.
