Teen girls' UV-protective one-piece swimsuits: comfort, elegance and simplicity
A teen girls' UV-protective one-piece swimsuit creates a clean, chic silhouette in a complete outfit, loved for its elegance and simplicity. At Canopea, our designs take inspiration from the signature cuts of our women's collection, carefully adapted to younger proportions. Combining high, certified UPF 50+ fabric protection on covered areas with soft, responsibly selected materials, our one-piece swimsuits allow complete freedom of movement for swimming and water sports.
A fit designed for teen girls' proportions
A well-fitting girls' one-piece swimsuit should feel comfortable at the shoulders, torso and hips, without squeezing or slipping during swimming:
- Designed for younger proportions: Our non-wired swimsuits feature an underbust support band for comfort and a secure fit throughout the day.
- The right fit: Compare height and bust measurements with our size guide. Straps should rest naturally on the shoulders without pulling or leaving marks when the arms are raised.
High UPF 50+ protection and durable ECONYL® fabric
All our one-piece swimsuits provide a physical barrier that blocks more than 98% of UVA and UVB rays, without chemical UV filters. Made from ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated fibre produced from recycled fishing nets, they are soft, stretchy and highly resistant to chlorine, salt and sunscreen.
For more coverage on the arms and upper back during longer periods outdoors, layer on a short- or long-sleeved teen UV-protective swim top. Explore the full selection in our teen girls' UV-protective swimwear, teen girls' UV-protective bikinis and wider teen girls' swimwear collections.
Frequently asked questions about teen girls' UV-protective one-piece swimsuits
What is the difference between Canopea teen girls' and women's one-piece swimsuits?
Our teen girls' one-piece swimsuits echo the elegant lines of our women's range, but their patterns are designed specifically for growing figures. The cuts remain simple and clean, without underwiring but with gentle underbust support, to fit younger proportions comfortably.
How can I check whether a one-piece swimsuit is too large or too small?
Ask your daughter to try a few simple movements: raise her arms, squat and imitate a swimming stroke. If the straps pull on her shoulders or the gusset digs in, the swimsuit is too small. If the fabric bunches at the stomach or the neckline gapes in the water, try the next size down.
Should a UV-protective swim top be worn over a one-piece swimsuit?
It is strongly recommended for longer periods outdoors, such as water sports or a day at the beach. Adding a UPF 50+ swim top helps protect the skin over time on the arms and shoulders, areas particularly exposed when teens spend time outdoors independently.
How should I care for an ECONYL® one-piece swimsuit to preserve its colours?
Rinse the swimsuit in cool fresh water immediately after swimming to remove salt and chlorine. Machine wash on a delicate cycle at no more than 30°C and lay it flat to dry in the shade. Avoid tumble drying, ironing and wringing to preserve the fibre's stretch.
