Photoshoot SS2019

I am particularly happy to present this "Lake Como" collection, which is close to my heart for several reasons. When I started working on it, I didn't know yet that destiny would bring me closer to this region geographically but also for personal reasons. I was looking for a place where colors and references intertwine. I knew I wanted to build a collection with pine green and fluorescent pink (strange mix I grant you but it's the kind of challenges that amuse me), then the idea came to do it on the great lakes of northern Italy.

Lake Como naturally imposed itself on my choice. The setting was perfect, the majestic mountains contrasted with the purity of the water, the villas – each more beautiful than the last, dot the green banks. And then on this lake which is ultimately quite narrow, you feel good, almost bordered by the mountains that surround it. I went there for the first time with my husband when we were still a young married couple without children. We had put down our suitcases in Bellagio, located on the tip of the lake where we had discovered this magnificent village, lost in time.

All these memories were going round in my head and at the end of August, I contacted the same lovely hotel – Albergo Giardinetto (affordable and right in the centre) to find out if it was possible to book a double room for me and my photographer. I booked the tickets and told my husband that he would have to look after the children this weekend, when he made me understand that he would love to see the village where we had had such a good time again. Very well (I am a designer, entrepreneur and travel agent for those who didn't know!), so I called the hotel back to ask if they still had any room and luckily one last room had just become available. Well that was perfect, we will sleep with the children in our bed!
