Girls' UV-protective one-piece swimsuits: elegant coverage for swimming
A girls' one-piece swimsuit is a summer wardrobe classic, ideal for young swimmers at the beach or pool. Its close fit covers the torso and back, making it easy to move from playing in the sand to the first lengths in the water. At Canopea, high UPF 50+ sun protection, soft, responsibly selected fabrics and elegant details such as ruffles, delicate necklines and refined bows come together in girls' swimwear that is as comfortable as it is chic.
A comfortable one-piece fit for swimming and moving freely
A good girls' one-piece swimsuit should follow the body's movements without squeezing the skin or pulling on the shoulders. Straps sit gently in place without slipping, while the leg openings allow complete freedom of movement for running, diving and playing.
Made from stretchy, lightweight fabric, our swimsuits adapt comfortably to each child's proportions. To find the right fit and avoid gaping in the water, check our size guide using your daughter's height and measurements.
Built-in, certified UPF 50+ sun protection
All our UV-protective one-piece swimsuits provide certified UPF 50+ fabric protection, the highest rating, blocking more than 98% of UVA and UVB rays. Unlike sunscreen, which requires regular reapplication and can wash off during swimming, our fabric provides built-in physical protection.
The covered area includes the torso and stomach. To add coverage for the arms, shoulders and neck, simply layer on a girls' UV-protective swim top. Remember to apply sunscreen to exposed areas such as the legs, arms and face, and explore our baby girls' UV-protective swimwear for younger children.
Responsibly selected materials and versatile beach outfits
In keeping with our sustainability commitments, Canopea favours premium recycled fibres such as ECONYL®, made from recycled fishing nets and marine plastic waste. This premium technical fabric resists salt and sun oils, helping the swimsuit retain its substance and vibrant colours over time.
A one-piece is also part of a versatile beach wardrobe. Alternate throughout the day with our girls' UV-protective bikinis, or choose girls' UV-protective sun suits for even more coverage.
Frequently asked questions about girls' UV-protective one-piece swimsuits
Is a UV-protective one-piece suitable for the pool and swimming lessons?
Yes. Our one-piece swimsuits are well suited to pools. Their cut provides reliable support and stays securely in place during swimming lessons. To preserve the fabric's stretch after exposure to chlorine, rinse the swimsuit in cool fresh water immediately after each session.
Can a UV-protective swim top be worn over a girl's one-piece swimsuit?
Absolutely. Layering a UV-protective swim top or rash guard over a one-piece adds coverage during the hottest part of the day, between noon and 4 pm, or during longer activities such as paddleboarding and kayaking. It covers the shoulders and arms without a complete change of outfit.
Does a UV-protective one-piece hold water or take a long time to dry?
No. Canopea's selected technical fabric is breathable, fine and quick-drying. It does not become waterlogged in the pool or sea, helping prevent the swimsuit from feeling heavy or cold against the skin when your child gets out.
How should I care for a UV-protective one-piece to help it last?
Always rinse your swimsuit in fresh water after swimming. Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at no more than 30°C with a mild detergent. Lay it flat to dry in the shade and avoid tumble drying or ironing to preserve the fabric's stretch and UPF 50+ properties.
