All our children's swim tops provide a physical fabric barrier that blocks more than 98% of UVA and UVB rays without chemical UV filters. This built-in protection remains effective throughout the day, whether the fabric is dry or wet.

The covered area includes the torso, back, shoulders and much of the arms. For exposed areas such as the face, hands and legs, apply sunscreen, add a hat and seek shade when the sun is strongest.

Responsibly made with ECONYL® and easy to care for

In keeping with Canopea's sustainability values, our children's range is made from ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated fibre produced from recycled fishing nets and marine plastics. This premium technical fabric resists salt, chlorine and sun oils, helping it retain its shape and vibrant colours over the summers to come.

After every swim, rinse the top thoroughly in cool fresh water. Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at no more than 30°C with a mild detergent. Lay it flat to dry in the shade and avoid tumble drying or ironing to preserve the fibre.

Should I choose short or long sleeves for a child's UV-protective swim top?

The choice mainly depends on skin sensitivity and the activity:

• Long sleeves provide the greatest coverage. They are especially recommended for very fair skin, water sports such as paddleboarding, surfing and sailing, and longer periods outdoors when the sun is strong.
• Short sleeves cover the shoulders and upper back while leaving the forearms free. They are well suited to everyday swimming and beach games.

Are Canopea UV-protective swim tops suitable for both the sea and the pool?

Yes. Our UV-protective swim tops are designed for both. ECONYL® fibre offers resistance to pool chlorine and sea salt. Simply rinse the top in fresh water after every swim to preserve its stretch.

Do children's UV-protective swim tops take a long time to dry?

No. Their lightweight, breathable technical weave does not become waterlogged. They dry quickly after swimming, helping children avoid feeling cold or weighed down by a wet garment.
